Hello from VT

I'm restarting a hobby I had as a boy, I have a few HO scale things, but I don't have enough room to have any fun with them. Thinking about N scale (I have a couple generic closet doors, the hollow kind -- I read somewhere those can make bargain train tables, can't complain about free).
I used to love the wild west and civil war era thus I'd like to begin modeling something along those lines, although on an extremely limited budget, but I have plenty of time. I dabbled with my HO scale enough to refresh my memory on the basics, and now I want to get serious with the hobby.
