BACHMANN DCC QUESTION

It's been YEARS since I did model railroading and am getting back into it. My wife bought me a BACHMANN DCC set and it's all new to me.
I'm wanting to get a passenger train with lighted coaches. Do I have to use DCC equipped coaches (is there such a thing?) or will others be compatible? Sorry for asking such a dumb question.

Hi Iv got DCC and Iv a few rolling stock that use power off the track just staight out ordinary stuffs seems ok for my layout. Glen
