HOn3 is for those who model in HO scale, but have a preference in modeling three foot narrow gauge railroads that dotted this country in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Models of three foot narrow gauge operate on N scale track or you can purchase HO scale track with an additional rail so that both HO standard gauge and HO narrow gauge trains operate.
Yes, you need a connector to transition from rail size 100 to 83 or be extremely good at filing the transition.
Marklin is a manufacturer of 1 Gauge, HO, and Z scale. Their equipment operates on track suitable for those scales.
